The Doom-Verse is an Alternate Universe in which the a war broke out between the immortals and humans in 2018, resulting in the use of nuclear weapons and godly powers that left much of the land annihilated and the world's populace being reduced to no more than six million. Hades reigns as king of the gods, there is no Mist, and Camp Half-Blood is located in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada.
History[]
In 2016, as a result of a failed use of her powers, Hecate removed The Mist from existence, revealing the world of Immortals all around the world to mortal populace. Humanity, panicked and afraid, began firing nuclear warheads and all superweapons in their possession at the immortals, resulting in a war between the two races. At the end of the two year war, humanity was ultimately defeated, while infighting between the immortals left most pantheons annihilated, as well as the Titans being completely destroyed in North America. The Greek Pantheon was the most successful Pantheon, though it still sustained heavy losses. The The Olympian casualties included Zeus, Poseidon, Artemis, Hera, Hestia, and Dionysus.
After the final battle, Hades was crowned king of the gods, but it was largely futile, as the world was in ruins, and its populace reduced to only a few million. Hades made Nemesis, Hecate, Iris, Nike, Hypnos, and Tyche Olympians to replace the fallen gods.
Camp Half-Blood was relocated to the resort town of Banff in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada, where they would be more secluded. Camp Jupiter was moved to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Campers were taught more than just swordplay and archery, they were now taught martial arts, survival, and learning how to scavenge from abandoned buildings.
Landscape[]
The eastern hemisphere of the earth was turned to a barren wasteland with broken buildings and cities being the only landmarks. The western hemisphere was changed to a near completely mountainous or overgrown forest region. The poles remained to be the coldest points on Earth, and the oceans stayed the same, but landmasses were turned to the aforementioned statuses.
Government[]
The only forms of government that survived were group leaders of large bands, as federal and world governments collapsed once the war was won by the immortals.
