"Son of the Warp" is a crossover fan-fiction between Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians novels and Games Workshop's Warhammer 40000 miniature-based tabletop strategy game, written by Meshakhad. It concerns the arrival of a new demigod to Camp Half-Blood... and some rather shocking revelations about the world they all live in.
The protagonist of the story, Joseph Regent is the son of Tzeentch, the Chaos god of change, ambition, magic, and planning. Joseph's biological mother, Gallina Thompson, is a permanent resident at the Hudson River Psychiatric Center. In the first chapter, he follows two Lampads to Camp Half-Blood, and helps Clarisse defeat them. He wields a torch taken from a Lampad.
Known Powers: - Immunity to insanity - Can command daemons of Tzeentch - Can fire bolts of psychic energy - Can read surface thoughts
Darryl Hayden is a son of Ares, and is part of Clarisse's patrol that encounters the Lampads.
Hanna is an unclaimed demigod.
Winston is a Lord of Change, one of the greater daemons of Tzeentch. He has been assigned as Joseph's mentor. At Joseph's request, he appears to Joseph in the form of Winston Churchill. Ironically, the real Winston Churchill was a demigod son of Poseidon.
Michael is a son of Athena, and was the only Warhammer player at camp prior to Joseph's arrival. He is described as tall and slender, coming from a wealthy Southern family. He is named for, and based off of, Michael Oversteegen from the Honor Harrington novels by David Weber.
